Actress and public relations practitioner Christine Bell died at the Andrews Memorial Hospital, Hope Road, St Andrew. She was 59 years old.

Her involvement in media began in 1972 at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation, where she worked as a junior news editor. She was trained at the British Broadcasting Corporation and Miami Dade Community College and is founder of public relation firm Innovative Ideas. It was her work on stage and screen that brought Bell squarely into the public eye, in a number of stage productions and the long-running Royal Palm Estate series.

Executive producer and director Lennie Little-White said Bell brought a certain level of professionalism to the set.
